Palais Lobkowitz : The Michelin guide review

The walls of this fine Baroque building were the first to resound to the overwhelming music of the Eroica Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven. It was performed in 1804 or 1805 in the hall which has been called the «Eroica Hall» since that time. The Lobkowitz family was one of the great Viennese families who, due to their love of music and sponsorship, played a decisive role in its history. The palace is now home to Österreichisches Theatermuseum, the Austrian Theatre Museum.
