New Town Hall : The Michelin guide review

Pleasant gardens lie in front of the neo-Gothic façade of the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall). Surmounting its tower is a 3.40m-high statue of a standard-bearer (“Rathausmann”). During the summer, the arcaded inner courtyard hosts concerts. Inside, visitors can see the public rooms, council chambers and the vast function room. Downstairs, in typically Germanic style, is the huge “Rathauskeller” restaurant.
