The Schönborn Palace with its 18C façade is home to the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions. Its exhibits illustrate everyday life and the outlook of people from the 17 to the 19C in Austria and the former provinces of the Habsburg Empire, which included most of Central Europe. Some items are of particular interest, for example the strange «bird of self-knowledge» from the Tyrol dating from the mid-18C.
