Minoritenplatz : The Michelin guide review

The Minoritenkirche is the Church of the Friars Minor. The Baroque decor was removed to restore the original Gothic appearance. Inside the church is an almost square design with naves of equal height, typical of a hall-church, designed to accommodate the crowds who came to listen to the preachers of the order founded by St Francis of Assisi. There is a mosaic copy of Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, commissioned by Napoleon to replace the original in Milan which he wanted in Paris.
