TOURISM
Built by Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt between 1713 and 1716, the Kinsky Palace, its façade a dazzling assortment of statues, huge pilasters, escutcheons and pediments with varied patterns, looks out onto Freyung. Above the monumental porch with its atlantes is a pointed, concave pediment. The Prince who gave his name to the palace, a well-known colonel in the cavalry, is even more famous for offering a life annuity of 4,000 florins to a certain Beethoven to encourage him to stay in Austria.
