Nowadays, Bäckerstrasse or «Baker Street» is a busy street of bars and cafés. There are some interesting 17 and 18C façades, such as those at no 2 and no 16. The Schwanenfeld house at no 7 is famous for its arcades, now glassed-in, and its Tuscan and Ionic columns, a rare example of Renaissance style in Vienna. Opposite at no 8, Count Seilern's Palace dates from 1722.
