Hettwer Bastei : The Michelin guide review

The Kapuzinerberg stands on the other side of the Salzach, opposite the Mönchsberg, and ends in a spur occupied by the Hettwer Bastion, crowned by a church. From here, you can see the finest views of the Old Town, which, as in a fairy tale, spikes the horizon with its domes and bell towers, between the river and fortress. Try and come early morning, when the low-angled sunlight lights up the green copper-clad roofs and sculpted forms of the great monuments.
