Tyrolean Provincial Museum (Ferdinandeum) star : The Michelin guide review

The "Ferdinandeum" is a museum devoted to Fine Arts. It displays a few items from the late Prehistoric period, an important medieval, Gothic, Baroque and modern collection, and a fine selection of Dutch Old Masters. Numerous works are of historic importance, such as the chapel altar from Tyrol Castle, from whence the provincial state sprang, and original bas-reliefs from the Little Golden Roof. In the basement is displayed a 1/ 20 000 scale model of the province.
