Little Golden Roof star : The Michelin guide review

Plated onto an ordinary Old Town building, the Little Golden Roof is surprising. At the start of the 16th century, Emperor Maximilian I, had this loggia built, in order to show himself to the people during feasts and tournaments. The Gothic building was designed by Niklas Türing the Elder, and the decoration becomes richer and increasingly Renaissance as it rises towards the roof. Inside, the Maximilianeum exhibits some of the Emperor's objects, as well as his death mask.
