Altes Landhaus : The Michelin guide review

This palace houses the Tyrol Parliament and Government. It was built from 1725 to 1728 by Georg Anton Gumpp, member of a dynasty of architects that have erected many buildings in Innsbruck. It is a fine example of a Baroque building. Its main staircase is covered with stuccoes and decorated with ancient statues and busts, and the ceiling is adorned with the Tyrol eagle clutching a map of the country in its claws.
