The Parish Church, rebuilt in the 15C and 16C, is a witness of the town's long history. It is the valley's oldest parish and was its administrative centre. The Gothic nave, with star and network vaulting, has an imposingly-regular layout. The outside of the church walls and niches either side of the main doorway are adorned with finely-worked funerary plaques bearing the effigies of former gold and silver mine owners.
